A beautiful model of a B-17 inside the Caen Museum

 

The original Pegasus bridge.  Because of its deterioration over the years, it was removed and placed next to the Pegasus Museum.
It was the first objective of the Invasion and was captured by the British.  The bridge was mined, however, the German garrison was overcome by a surprise glider attack (3 gliders, 90 men).
