Attached is a beautiful paper written by the late Jerome Butler Sheets. Obviously, it was written
before we went to Okinawa. I don't know the circumstances, but somehow, it ended up at the
University of Michigan. In all probability, he mailed it to his alma mater just before his death...
He describes the ship eloquently... Certainly much better than I or any other member of the crew.
