David Lewis Warner, age 84, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 26, 2010. He was born to William and Elizabeth Warner on January 25, 1926 in Oregon, Wisconsin. Dave was an active member, serving the Lord, at Flour Bluff Church of Christ. He served proudly in World War II on board the USS Laffey, during which time he earned a purple heart. After being in the service, he graduated from Lincoln Bible Institute, in Lincoln, Illinois.
Dave is survived by his wife, Ivanelle Warner; son, David (Diane) Warner of Janesville, Wisconsin; daughters, Connie (Mike) Drake, of Elkhart, Illinois, and Heather (Charles) Glisson of Tallmadge, Ohio; step-son, Lawrence “Pete” (Virginia) Colborn of Mesa, Arizona, and Melody Strahan of Kansas; a sister, Virginia Hart of Janesville, Wisconsin; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Flour Bluff Church of Christ, 3745 Waldron Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78418 on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Victor Frazier officiating.
A Memorial Service and burial will be held at a later date in Janesville, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, family would like donations to be made to Flour Bluff Church of Christ.
