Greydon Morris Nogal, age 61,
of Hobe Sound, Fla.
HOBE SOUND, Fla. — Greydon Morris Nogal, age 61, of Hobe Sound, Fla., died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at the VA Medical Center in North Palm Beach, Fla. He was born Dec. 7, 1947, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Morris A. and Doris Stump Nogal.
He graduated in 1966 from Harbor High School in Ashtabula. After school, Greydon served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Northampton and the USS Laffey as a Petty Officer 3rd Class Electrician’s Mate. When he left the service, he worked for the Ashtabula Water Company.
He moved to Florida in 1980 and finished his working career at Gator Welding in Jupiter. Greydon was blessed with a delightful sense of humor and the ability to get along with everyone. When anyone needed something fixed, he would fix it willingly and well. He was very talented. He had an amazing gift for growing flowers, which he shared with his neighbors. He also loved to fish, tinker in his garage, go to family reunions and listen to his cousin John Stump’s Blue Grass Music.
He is survived by his mother, Doris H. Wilson of North Palm Beach, Fla., sisters, Jerrian Massey of North Palm Beach, Fla., and Martha Robishaw (Ted), of Kingsville, Ohio; brother, Bob Nogal (Alayne), of Jupiter, Fla.; nieces Jennifer Kirk and Carey Foster; and nephews, Kevin Massey, Ted Robishaw and Garrett Nogal. He was preceded in death by his father, Morris A. Nogal, and nephew, Philip M. Massey. A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingsville Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Bonnie Habbersett officiating.
Interment will be held at a later time in North Kingsville, Ohio, where he will be laid to rest beside his father and grandparents. Family and friends are invited to Ted and Martha Robishaw’s home for lunch and reminiscing after the service. Donations may be made to the VA Medical Center, 7305 North Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Fla. 33410-6400 in memory of Greydon.
