Fall WorkParty Dates
The dates have been set for the Fall 2024 WorkParty. We will be working on the USS Laffey from Friday, October 18 to Saturday, October 26
Announcement (June 2024)
Patriot’s Point, the USS Yorktown Foundation, and the Commemorative Air Force joined forces Sunday and sent parts from the historic USS Laffey to France for the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

Leonard Singleton
His Volunteer Duty Station is on the Laffey, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for 5 hours each day. Year to date Leonard has logged over 560 hours on the Laffey.
Bob Logsdon
Robert L. Logsdon, Jr., this amazing man and proud United States Navy retiree, was loved by everyone who knew him.
Ari Phoutrides
In World War II at the age of 17, Ari entered the U.S. Navy. He reported aboard USS Laffey (DD-724) commissioned 8 February 1944 and served at D-Day and Okinawa.
Announcement (April 2024)
The Spring Workparty will kick off on Friday, 12 April. Organized work will begin Saturday the 13th. We will work within the standard constraints of having minimal impact on the larger weekend visitation.
