Ari Phoutrides' Grandson
 

I am pleased to submit a picture of my grandson who is presently serving in the Marine Corps.  Upon his graduation
from college, he chose to accept his commission as a second lieutenant and serve for a period of four years.

At the present time, he has been assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary
Unit which will be deployed to Afghanistan sometime in February, 2008.

A few of you may have remembered meeting him during the September, 2007 work party when he stayed on board
for one night.  To this day he speaks very highly of the dedication he sensed among those who have maintained our ship.
